I posted this in the EZBass presales forum a week ago and have heard nothing back from them. So I thought I’d try here.
Does the new Rickenbacker EZX allow for two seperate DI outs so that we can split them, add our own effects/EQ, etc. and then pan them ourselves? I’m looking for two separate outputs with a clean sound with no amp/cab or effects. Basically like Rick ‘O Sound straight out of the guitar.
Thanks!
P.S. Yes I’ll update to 1.1.1 if I get this Hard Rock EBX 🙂

As with the other libraries, you get 3 stereo outputs for Multi output routing. The processed preset (1+2), the DI (3+4), and the Sub Bass (5+6).

Thanks for the response, Scott!
I realize now that my question was not clear. Totally my fault.
What I was trying to say was, of the 2 DI’s, is one output for the Neck pickup and then the other for the Bridge pickup? This would be like Rick ‘O Sound.
Sorry for the confusion.

No. Just 1 DI.

Thanked by: Mac McCormickThanks, Scott! But now I’m really confused.
Above you said there were 2 DI’s (3+4) Now you say there’s only 1 DI. Do you mean 1 DI for each pick up? That was the question.
This feature is in all the Rickenbacker basses and is called Rick ‘O Sound. It is one of the most important features of that instrument and for getting the classic Ricky bass sound by allowing separate EQ and FX for each pick up.
Thanks again,

One channel for all processed preset sound to come out. One channel for all DI. One channel for the Sub Bass. The volume of the 2 pickups can be balanced in the interface but the both come out the same single output in multi-out mode.
