ez mix is straining my cpu real bad.

Hi,

I downloaded & installed the latest version and now my cpu maxes out and everything sounds glitchy & distorted. I never had this issue with the previous version.
I know it is ezmix because, I turned all intances of ezmix off in my projects and this prblem was no more.
I also have Izotope alloy which is way more cpu intensive but does not cause this issue.
I have always found my system to be faithful and solid untill this update.

Any help and or tips would be greatly appreciated.

cubase 5, win 7 32 bit (optimised for audio).
amd 2.8ghz X2 (will be upgrading to 3.0ghz X4 in a few days).

I use a AMD dual core laptop with 2GB RAM, Vista 32-bit, Reaper and EZmix and don’t have any issues at all.

How many EZmixes do you have on your project? Can you start turning the EZmixes back on, one at a time, and see where the wheels start falling off? Same issue with one EZmix loaded? How much RAM in your system?

Hi Scott,

My ram is okay I have 4gb but only use 3 due to 32bit limitations.
I could use 5 or 6 instances before the update (maybe more, never tried) but after the update she started farting out after 2.

I installed my new processor and all is fine now, I’m beginning to think my old one was on its way out.
