I am a big time Superior Drummer user and think it’s an absolutely amazing product. I can NOT believe that the same company puts out this thing. It’s unusable. No editing, terrible patterns, they transpose an octave on me all the time. No multiple playlists and on and on. Gui is awful and tiny. I mean, it’s a total money grab frankly. Using the good name of Superior Drummer to suck out our money before we realize how amateurish this thing is. I mean, I can’t change a note if I want to? No variation control like superior. No nothing. Giant bag of wasted $150.
I don’t know how you use EZKeys, but I have different experiences.
All you wrote “can’t do” – I can!
Can edit, can add/delete/change notes. Up-down, velosity, lenght… Name it.
Ok. I have EZDrummer 2.
Maybe the difference is in it.
yes i can drag the midi out into pro tools and edit, but that’s a giant pain and defeats the purpose.

Thanked by: RoskobiwanEZKeys is way old. You have to cut it some slack due to its age. In its day it was a contender, but everything gets old and newer stuff takes its place. You gotta show some respect to the old stuff… ( what no smily face available in this forum?)
Just purchased EZKEYS Upright Piano and frankly, I’m disappointed, beyond.
Cannot get chord changes, at least the ones I want, and I keep getting add ons to the ones I get…
I get duplicates of chords I don’t need,…never seems to want to return to start position…
What can be so wrong with this advertised, seemingly ‘amazing” program.???
I’m trying to be nice here, having waited for awhile to get this thing I thought would add to my track enhancements..
When you are trying to be productive, inventive, imaginative, innovative, etc…you don’t need hangups like this.
Sorry.
I got this a couple days ago and then realised it’s nowhere near as functional as ezbass. But they wont refund me. Never spending money here again.
I don’t think EZK is horrible but do agree it needs a facelift and, perhaps, some implants. I’m not behind the scenes or anything but I suspect that they’re not putting much effort into it. They can look to Scaler and other programs and begin to implement some of the items in it.
Even as a player, I look to the patterns for inspiration at times and find them to be very “vanilla”. They need to become more stylized in their offerings of MIDI packs. Boogie? Dream Pop? Big Band? Epic Themes? Really? They are a bit overplayed and lack depth, IMHO. The theory tool can be updated as well.
I still like you TT and have a lot of your products, but it’s time to give EZK some love.
"Music for Life"
I agree with these posts. I also feel ripped off. I feel I was forced to buy it after trying the demo and find it completely unintuitive and out-of-date.
I love SD3 and EZbass so find it hard to believe that the same company markets this rubbish.
TT are even trying to market new midi packs for EzKeys! What a joke.
I had not used it since I bought it a couple of months ago but did try to knock up a quick piano part with it this week without success. Completely impossible to work out how to use it. In the end I played the part in myself, so I suppose it could be said that EzKeys is improving my own piano playing!
This puts a very bad mark against ToonTrack’s reputation. 🙁

EZkeys version: 1.3.2
Operating system: macOS Mojave (10.14)
Since you know the difference between Superior Drummer and EZdrummer, you should wait for the release of Superior Keys! This could take a while though…
License transfer fees countervalue is $ 2,250.00
(done...)
So my anger about the Toontrack license transfer fee introduced in June 2021 is not entirely unfounded...
