Please provide more info. What are your computer specs? What version of EZkeys? Do you get the error in Standalone or in a DAW? If in a DAW, which DAW?

    Hi!

-Sony AcidPro7(no jokes please!), is DAW I received runtime error with.

    -Windows 10 with an Inspiron 3668/Intel i7  7700 @ 3.60Ghz/16Gb installed RAM.

-Running 32bit version plug. Latest String Machine download from Toontrack site.

-I’m running two outboard drives(for samples & sessions), in addition to host drive with main application.

Btw, I can load/run Spitfire Audio soundbanks/instruments and any Ample Guitar Vst just fine w/o any crashing or RunTime issues.

Any ideas besides a quick “get a new DAW” suggestion, as I know the SonyAcodPro commentaries on every music forum are LEGENDARY!

    Thanks, everyone!

    Hi,

are you running Acid 32-bit in Windows 10? Or are you using some kind of wrapper for the 32-bit version of EZkeys?

If you run a 32-bit application, it cannot access all your RAM anyway, I think you’re limited to 2GB per process, so a full memory can actually be a problem here. If you run Spitfire Audio libraries, I assume you have the Kontakt memory engine that lets you circumvent the memory limit.

If you do run Acid as a 64-bit application but run a wrapper for the 32-bit version of EZkeys, it is not supported, please use the 64-bit instead.

    BR,

    John

    John,

Thank you! All of that makes complete sense, and I now believe this crashing/runtime error has been self-inflicted.

Speaking of self-inflicted, the happy ending to this saga, is that I’m now FINALLY leaving Acid behind(old habits, right?), and have just migrated over to REAPERx64, and all of my EZ Keys run fast and stable-wow!

    Thanks for your help!
