Hi all,
I use EZDrummer 2 (2.2.2) 64 bit on Windows 10 (latest update).
I can only hear the output if I connect external speakers via USB to my Laptop.
If i disconnect the external speakers and click on a tom or snare, I cannot hear any sound from the build-in speakers of my laptop.
But starting for example spotify on my laptop I can hear the music fron the internal speakers crystal clear.
In EZ Drummer in the Settings – Audio/Midi Settings – Out Channels there is only the second output (HD Audio 2nd output 1 and 2) and NONE available but not the first (Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio).
If I click in the windows taskbar on the loudspeaker symbol I can switch from “Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio” to “Realtek HD Audio 2nd output Realtek(R) Audio“.
How can I connect to the internal speaker again?
I have no further idea on what I can check next to get rid of the problem.
Does anybody have an idea?
Kind regards
Frank
Interesting…. I have not used my EZdrummer software for a while and I discovered this same issue 10/1/21. There was a recent download and not sure if that had an effect, but I too have no computer/headphone sound and midi is triggering. I un-installed and re-installed the 64bit program with windows 10, and the properties seem to indicate a compatibility with Win 8, which should not matter as this program was working fine a few weeks ago. Midi set-up is the same as I have always used – so I have no idea what caused the issue.
Audio Device set to ASIO / ASIO4ALLv2
So, I just switched to Audio Device to Direct sound and Speaker headphone (realtek). However, the sound quality is terrible.
Then tried the WASAPI (low latency) and that seems to get the best results.
So will have to set it up with edrums connected and see if the ASIO settings will apply with those.
This seems to be new as I never needed to adjust the Audio Device before this.
