I just purchased EZ Drummer 2, and downloaded all the software. Works great, however it says there is a new update (v. 2.2.1.27019). I don’t see this anywhere in Toontrack Product Manager. How or where do I get this update?

    EZdrummer version: 2.2.1
    Operating system: Windows 10

Are you running standalone or from DAW? What does Menu >About EZDrummer display when run standalone?

    EZdrummer version: 2.2.1
    Operating system: macOS Catalina (10.15)

The version in standalone is the update (v. 2.2.1.27019) that’s in the Menu About. So why does it say there’s still an update?

It shows the update is needed in both standalone and in PreSonus Studio One 5.2.

I get this when I open the Menu, About:

    EZdrummer plug-in version 2.2.1 (build 27019) [64-bit VST]
Standalone host version 2.2.1 (build 27019)

    SOUND LIBRARIES
    EZdrummer 2 Modern version 1.1.2
    EZdrummer 2 Vintage version 1.1.2

    MIDI LIBRARIES
    EZdrummer 2 Modern/Vintage version 1.0.2
    EZdrummer 2 Percussion version 1.0.2

But then I then I still get the attached message when I go to Menu, Check for Updates.

Do you use the download product manager? And it doesn’t indicate there is an update? Correct?

Yes, I use the download product manager, and there’s nowhere in there where it shows an update. You have this correct.

It seems to be the same for me. For now I would use Product Manager as the definitive indicator that there’s an update.

Thanks. As long as I know it’s not just me, and that I’ve done something wrong. I put this forth to Toontracks’ tech support. And I’ll share anything that they send me.

Here’s what Toontrack tech support wrote me about this problem.

The programmers have confirmed this is a known bug, and it will be fixed on the server within the next few weeks. No software update will be necessary in this instance.
