Do you have more than 1 ezdrummer.dll on your computer? Was the .dll manually copied or moved after install?

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for the reply.

I do have 2 .dll’s installed it appears. One in 32 bit folder and one in 64 bit folder for programs/vstplugins.

During the lockdown I’ve worked much more with EZD as a plugin with Reaper  rather than a standalone so I think I did have to manually move/copy the dlls to the plugin folders so Reaper could find them. This shouldn’t be a problem in Reaper as it will access the first plugin in the tree if there are multiple dll’s it’s being pointed to.

This has worked for the last 6 weeks or so but decided to keep asking me to authorize just today. I can use EZD as a standalone but no longer as a plugin in Reaper.

There was a Reaper update a couple of days ago. Might that be the issue??

    Many Thanks

The problem with copying/moving the .dll is when there is an EZD2 update, the update has no idea of the manual move or where it went and will install in the original location. So you’ll have 2 different versions.

The best option is to make note of the install location and set that path in Reaper. I know you can set multiple plugin install locations in Reaper so there didn’t need to be only one location for plugins.
