Hello,
In PT 8.0.3 I create a instrument track and select EZ Drummer as my plug in…no problem auditioning sounds, grooves, etc.
I create a MIDI track, thinking I can drag and drop selected grooves.
When I try to drag and drop from the EZ Drummer grooves window into my PT edit track, an error message comes up and the session is crashed.
Please advise…help will be much appreciated!
Thanks!

I’m still working on the issue…it works using drag and drop when the plugin window is on the same screen as the edit window, but I have 2 monitors…as crazy as it may seem, if the EZ Drummer plug in window is on the right screen, and I attempt to drag across to drop in the PT left screen, that is when I get the error message and crash.
Try right-clicking ProTools.exe and choose to ‘Run as Administrator…’

I’ll try that….
After more trial and error, it works perfectly fine when both the EZ Drummer plug in window and PT edit window are on the same monitor screen.
But, when the plug in window is on the second monitor, it crashes with an “access denied” error message as soon as I begin dragging across the monitors…the session is locked up, nothing works, and then I have to esape out and re start the computer
Thanks for the response!
