    Hi,

it’s hard to see exactly what in your screen shot, since the plugin interface is in the way, but something is definitely amiss.
There are files where they aren’t supposed to be.
If I were you, I’d uninstall and delete the ‘{Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer’ folder and start fresh with a re-install.

    John,
thanks for the reply. The Midi data are all where expected namely in the path I wrote above and how it´s said on the toontrack website. I will do another screenshot later, anyway, what do you mean by something is definitly amiss? What is “something”? Setting up the entirely EZD again is a real big work and does not describe the failure to me respectively how it happened. So it can happen again and I don´t think it´s a good idea to start over and over again then. There must be an explanation for this and above all, there must be a chance to add a library by browsing.

As I wrote, it’s hard to tell exactly from your screen shot, so I may be wrong.
Better if you provide some screen shots of your ‘EZdrummer’ folder, ‘EZdrummer/Midi’ folder to start with.
BTW, have you tried to go to Menu>Advanced>Restore Factory MIDI Database?

The problem is that EZdrummer 2 has (for some reason) started to look for the MIDI in the wrong folder. Where it says “EZdrummer/Midi” on screenshot 1 it should say the entire path (“/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/Midi”). Did this problem just occur without you doing anything, like updating the software, moving folders on the disk, removing an external disk or similar? Can you see and change all presets as usual from the orange library menu in the top of EZdrummer 2?

    Hi Henrik,
the problem occured without action from me, no updating, no changes at all. In the first opening after missing the path EZD asked me to localize the Midi folder. Unfortunately I didn´t know it that moment and cancelled the action trusting on being able to do it later. Since then the app doesn´t enable me to browse for the libraries at all. So I think there must be a preferences file which can be deleted to reset.
The presets/sounds can be changed in the top orange box. Working as usual.

@John, I cannot reset midi db to factory default, it´s greyed out.

    Edit:
Just put Midi to the path where EZD expected it (EZDrummer/Midi) what worked for just one moment. Then I tried to reset to factory default and since then get this error message:

    uexpected-error.png

Neither restart can fix it, nor changing paths….
I´m not running more instances but this one.

Put back the MIDI folder where it should be (/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/) and then run this command in the Terminal (copy and paste all below):

    defaults delete /Users/Shared/Toontrack/Preferences/com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer MidiPath
    defaults delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer MidiPath
    defaults read ~/Library/Preferences/com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer SourcePath
    defaults read /Users/Shared/Toontrack/Preferences/com.toontrack.superior.auezdrummer SourcePath

If EZdrummer 2 now asks you where the sound files are, point it to the right location (/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer)

It’s always possible to reinstall EZdrummer 2 but this might help you avoid that…

Let us know if that solved the problem 🙂

    Hi Henrik,
I had this problem today again after updating to the newest TT206_EZdrummer2_Core_Libs_Update. I could fic it with the above method inside the terminal but its still not solved from your side.
