Hey!
As it says in the title, i purchased, downloaded and installed but i get this error message. It also says below that i have the PlugIn version 3.0.5 and the version of resources is 3.0.4 and ends with “please reinstall EZDrummer 3”. I can’t find a solution on the internet. Any help would be very appreciated. It’s frustrating to deal with something i have no clue about since i just purchased it.
Kind regards!
Erik

Nevermind, the method worked! Deleting the EZDrummer 3 folder inside of ProgramData solved the issue. Thank you all so so very much, this helped!!!

“I have the PlugIn version 3.0.5, and the version of resources is 3.0.6 and ends with “please reinstall EZDrummer 3”.”
I’m having a similar problem as above after installing EZDrummer3. My operating system is Windows 10.
I followed the solution as prescribed to go to C:\ProgramData\Toontrack\EZdrummer 3; remove the EZDrummer folder located in the ProGramData folder. Still, the problem was not resolved after uninstalling and reinstalling the program.
Hi neddysmith,
do you get this message both when running the standalone app and when running the plug-in in a DAW?

Hi John,
I’m only experiencing this message when running the Plugin App in the DAW, Reaper v6.
The standalone works okay.

Hi Neddy,
this indicates that you have moved or copied the VST3 file post installation and the Product Manager consequently does not “know” about this copy when you run an updater.
Please check that you haven’t got duplicates of the ‘ezdrummer 3.vst3’ file on your system and that Reaper just has got the ‘C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3’ path for the VST3’s.

John

Hi John,
Please find two attached files representing ezdrummer3 and reaper locations.
Note:
The only change I’ve made was when I deleted ezdrummer3 and reinstalled the program using the program manager. I still have previous version on my Desktop I labeled as XXX_EZdrummer3.
Regards,
Neddy
Hi John,
I forgot to to add the ProgramData path.
See the attached file below.
Thanks
Neddy
Well, looking at your screen shots, you have two ‘ezdrummer 3.vst3’ files with different dates. I guess from what I can see of your Reaper VST Scan paths that the oldest one is at a level up in the hierarchy so that’s the one that Reaper picks.
I would personally delete the ones you have on your system and re-run the latest updater.
Next I would check that the Standalone runs OK.
After that I would check the location of the only ‘ezdrummer 3.vst3’ on your system.
Last, I would tidy up the list of scan locations in Reaper and make sure that the location of the ‘ezdrummer 3.vst3’ is in one of the paths in Reaper’s VST scan preferences.

John
