EZ Drummer 3 playing on its own?? HELP

I have a song project (in Protools) where I have no midi (i.e. no drums playing) in the first verse and EZ Drummer 3 is playing drums in this verse.  I have no midi files or blocks in that area of the song in either EZ song creator or my DAW.  It plays the same thing every time at the same spot (so its not random).  I have started a “new song track” I have started a new “project” I have put down midi blocks in that section and deleted them.  There is also NO notes showing in the GRID Editor.  I am on the latest version of EZ 3, and latest version of Protools and my operating system is up to date.  This makes no sense!! I have tried to delete the drum kit and load a new one, and it still plays in the same spot (just different drum sounds).

Do you have MIDI on any other instrument track in the session? Could you check to make sure that there’s no instrument output set to EZDrummer 3, aside from the one that has EZDrummer inserted on it.

Pro Tools is notorious for getting instrument outputs mixed up or changed to “none”.

Yeah… I have had the ol’ input/output/midi mix-up happen before in PT.  I did check that the correct input was inline (and it was).  Luckily I wasn’t too far into my drum track, so I just deleted the whole drum track in PT and started a new one, and it is fine now.  But I would have really been PO’d if I’d been further along.  Thanks for the suggestion it was a solid one!
