Hello All and thank you for reading,
I have EZ Drummer 2 installed on my mini mac. It sounds great through the speakers hooked up to Mac, but when I use Bluetooth from Mac to my PA system I don’t get any sound coming through EZ Drummer. Every other sound comes through the PA(iTunes, youtube etc.).
I looked through the settings but couldn’t find anything and wasn’t sure if this is a system problem or a setting in EZ Drummer that I am missing.
Has anyone else experienced this? It’s frustrating because I want to blast these drum beats through PA to play along with.
Thank you in advance for any help!
Man, i am so angry.
EVERYTHING WORKS ON THE MAC WITH BLUETOOTH, BUT EZ NOT.
IT SHOULD BE MORE ON TOOTRACKS SIDE TO CARE FOR A SOLUTION.
Are you using EZdrummer 2 as a standalone? Have you setup EZdrummer 2 to use the correct audio interface?

Hi, yes I am using EZ2 as a stand alone. I am not using an audio interface. When trying to change my output it allows me to choose the Bluetooth speaker but then rejects (via error) it when “applying” it.
thanks

I tested with my MacBook Pro connecting EZDrummer 2 to a JBL Charger 3 and it worked fine. What speaker are you trying to connect to?

OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8

Hmmm that’s interesting. Mine is a JBL Charge 4.
I’ll do some further digging. Thanks.

I have been reading on the Apple forum about issues with Bluetooth and OS X Catalina. I have not updated any of my machines to it. Staying with Mojave for now.

wont work with BT for me… Waste of time and money
Hi,
what do you mean exactly? Personally, I have no problems using Bluetooth devices for audio monitoring but the latency makes it impossible to use for live triggering, which isn’t related to EZdrummer 2 but Bluetooth.

Hi John,
Thanks for responding. I originally posted this question quite a while ago. I enjoy EZ Drummer but I am still not able to run it on my Mac Mini through the bluetooth devices which are connected to my Mini.
When I go to EZ Drummer Setting and choose “output device” my bluetooth devices are not in the drop down menu. Only choices are, “Built-in Output”,
“Soundflower(2ch) and Soundflower(64ch). No option for my bluetooth devices which are connected to my Mac mini.
Does that make sense? Can you help me? Please let me know what other information I can provide.
TIA,
Joseph
I am using Fender Mustang Micro Plus mini amp and EZDrummer 3 as drum machine via bluetooth for practicing, no issues
Can you describe your setup with setting options? How do you have your Fender micro connected? Via audio interface? Are there Mac settings, not necessarily EZD3 settings, that have been tweaked? Or both? Thanks!
