EZ Drummer 2 toms are a lot louder than EZ drummer 3 toms

I like the EZ Drummer 3 Bright room but I...

I like the EZ Drummer 3 Bright room but I like the sound of the EZ Drummer 2 toms. But when I try to put an EZ Drummer 2 tom into the Bright Room setting it is at least 7 or 8 db louder. Is there a setting to fix this?

I know I can lower them in the mixer or in the edit section. But I am curious why it would be much louder.
