EZ Drummer 2 “prepares to install” every time I launch it

every time I try to launch my EZ Drummer 2 it opens up an installer where it says “preparing to install” and I have to wait for it to time out (30+ min) if at all and give me an error about contacting the server whereupon the app finally opens, it says it is ready to use on my product manager

What more does it say in that installer window? Anything about a Steinberg Yamaha USB driver or similar? We have had similar cases before.

Maybe see if you can uninstall anything related that could be causing this or deactivate certain devices. EZdrummer never intentionally launches any installer. It must be some system query that triggers it.
