I use Logic Pro and I installed EZ3 last night. I found if I open and existing tune my EZ2 track is still there. But now I can change the plug in to EZ2 or 3. They are separate plug ins. I like that they did that to be honest. I also found the track I had while in ModernVintage kit in EZ2 and a subtle 8th note snare hit after beats 2 and 4. I didnt even really notice it in EZ2 but in EZ3 the notes really jumped out. It just sounds so much better and clearer if that makes sense. So far I love it.

    Hi,

to clarify: EZdrummer 3 does not replace EZdrummer 2, previously saved projects with EZdrummer 2 will not open with EZdrummer 3 instead. They are two separate plug-ins and applications.

EZD2 and EZD3 are two separate plugins. Which means unless you uninstall one or the other, you should have 2 choices when starting a new project.

Unless you mean you have a project template that uses EZD2. In that case, a new project will still load EZD2 unless you update the template with EZD3.

I see that is EZD2 open and I’m seeing the EZD3 MIDI library in EZD2. That is expected.

If you want to use EZD3, it is a separate plugin. What DAW are you using? Do you have both EZD2 and EZD3 in your plugin instrument list? Have you re-scanned and/or rebooted the computer after you installed EZD3?

In case this helps anyone, just had a similar problem. When adding an instrument in Cubase 12, the drop-down folder for Toontracks loads EZD 2. To load EZD 3, I need to use the drums folder.
