    Hi,

the Crash Mute keys are velocity sensitive for length. Try hitting the key at different velocities and see where it is the right length for you.

Sorry. This isn’t working. Probably because I can’t seem to find out the proper way to set up my Nektar keyboard for MIDI commands. Thanks anyway.

You should bee able to adjust the velocity of the Crash Mute articulation if you drag and drop the MIDI into Sonar if you can’t do it in real time.

This is not working for me either.  Velocity just changes the intensity of the initial hit, not the length before it is choked.

Turns out cranking the velocity all the way to 127 causes a shorter choke.  Other than that, the velocity just changes the intensity.

You’re out of luck if you’re not using hardware that supports Aftertouch (PolyPressure/PolyAftertouch). Some DAWs also don’t support it.

Hopefully a Mod will correct me if I’m wrong. If you’re in EZD2 Standalone or do not trigger EZD2 with a controller that transmits Aftertouch, you will be left with one of two choking options as you seemed to already have discovered. If you want a quick choke, you must use a loud dynamic, and visa-versa.

Would love to hear any other solutions myself. I remember years back that Superior Drummer 2 really got chokes right, so I would assume upgrading to SD3 would get you there as well.
