This is very simple. Create a session on a Windows 11 computer (I use Ableton Live). Add a track of EZBass; no other plugins. Open the same session on a MacOS Sequoia computer, and Ableton complains that the plugin is not found.
But the plugin is clearly installed, it’s right there in the plugin browser. I can add a new instance, but then the original MIDI data etc is lost.
Note that I’ve done a full re-scan, and also re-installed EZ Bass, restarted Ableton, etc all to no avail.
This issue seems identical to this one: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/ezd3-and-reaper-cant-move-between-mac-and-windows/ Unfortunately, due to Toontrack’s inexplicable requirement that I own EZDrummer in order to view that forum, I have no idea if or how that user’s issue was resolved.
Is this just the way it is, or is there some trick I missed? As someone who frequently has to move a session between computer platforms in order to work, this is deeply concerning.
