Extremely disappointed with Jazz packs

As I expressed in a previous post, I’m very frustrated by the lack of info on the product pages. I’m recording a simple jazz track in 3/4 and just wanted some nice jazz swing grooves in 3/4. I ended up taking a chance and ordered the jazz midi pack and the Jazz and Big Band Ezx packs and have to say I’ve never been more disappointed with a product. The big band pack didn’t even have anything in 3/4 so that was a complete waste of time (the product page should have indicated they were all in 4/4) and the Jazz EZX pack was simply not very good. Mikaelsson and Agren just jammed aimlessly, meandering about with no continuity, and the David Haynes 3/4 swing grooves were just not very good – really stiff and not usable. I’m hoping to salvage something out of the midi pack, but the whole thing was a huge waste of time and money. I’m very disappointed in you guys. I expected better. Gordon Webb

Not sure which version of EZDrummer (2 or 3) you are using,
and that I’m not currently in front of my studio computer,
I can’t remember whether or not EZDrummer2 had access to the MIDI WEB SHOP…EZD3 Grooves Tab manual
Previewing MIDI grooves in the WEB SHOP may have saved you some grief.

Show Web Shop MIDI connects to toontrack.com and allows you to preview MIDI that you do not currently own from Toontrack’s varied selection of for-purchase MIDI packs. An internet connection is required to use this feature. Clicking this button will add a header in the file browser section of the Grooves page titled “Online Libraries.” Search filters that correspond to the online libraries will also be added to the filters section and will display a blue dot to the left of their name.

All webshop grooves will have a web icon to the left of their name in the results section.

It is important to mention that webshop MIDI files can not be dragged to the Song Track or out of EZdrummer 3. They are strictly for preview so that the user can make more informed purchasing decisions.
