Hey There
I am fresh to SD.
I have an Roland 27k2 with SD (latest version)
I recently added an extra “snare drum”‘ to my Roand Ekit. I want to use it for sample snare sounds i have.
SD sees it as a crash 4 cymbal instead of a snare / or tom.
How can i customize it so it sees it as a snare.
As said i am new to this, especially customizing.
I am using the the Tight Pop Kit.
Thanks
So it’s just a mapping of the note number the td27 is sending. I would create a new snare (top left for adding a new kit piece of the top of my head) you then need to go into edrum settings where you select the drum you created and use the learn function. You can also do this manually. The manual describes how to do this.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
you just have to make a new instrument.
This is also an example of how cool it would be to have a “duplicate instrument” option in SD3
