Extending Chords changes the midi?

I recorded bass guitar with tracker, exported it to a midi song track, and it’s auto detection places chords often overlapping bars, as expected, so no big deal i try to just fix it right.

However, when I trim the Chords either direction to line up with the bars it changes the midi!!  the notes actually move.

Im not sure if this is on purpose, but i really want to have my chords fixed so theres no gaps but it must not touch the midi!

for example, In the picture below, if i try to extend the tail  of that Em chord clip to fill that gap it also changes the midi below it.

please advise!

I want to bump this as this is a major bug and there’s no response.

Im in a new song now and the same problem is happening. i try to extend a chord to a bar boundary and it changes the midi.  please review post above.
