Yep, I am pretty new to this. I found the video on using EZ Drummer 2 as a standalone to be really good, and have created a drum part I like. I want to export it to Ableton Live 10 as a midi file with all the instrument sounds and effects as I created them in EZ Drummer, so I can continue to adjust the drum performance as I add other instruments to my song. I see how I can do that as a wav file, but a midi file would give me more options to tweak it within Ableton. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have been unable to find a tutorial to do this. Thanks!
Go to this menu in my screen cap. Select Track>Export Song as Midi. Do you see that option? That’s how you export midi. Midi does not contain sounds.
Do you know how to load EZdrummer 2 into Ableton? That’s what you need to do.
