I have an E-Kit that allows import of audio files from drum software such as superior line. Has anyone been able to successfully export from superiors kit collection to an e-drum module. I would greatly appreciate some guidance. For starters just to be able to find the files in the structure set up by superior.
Thanks in advance
To the best of my knowledge, the Alesis Crimson (and I think other modules from Alesis) can import .WAV files or samples, however as far as I know, Superior Drummer 2/3 and/or EZDrummer files are proprietary to Toontrack and not just .WAV files. They are used exclusively by the software (SD3 or EZD) which maps samples into RAM of a host (computer).

You can record SD3 files to a wave file using logic X, garageband, etc then import them into your module.
You can but they will be one shot and not the multi layered sounds you get in SD3
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
I also use E-Drums with a Roland TD-30 Module. I think Brad is correct in that the drum sounds are proprietary to Toontrack etc. You can STILL go Midi into your DAW and set up Superior Drummer as a software instrument. In SD 3.0 in Logic, I go to the Settings/E-Drums menu choice and I can use Superior Drummer 3.0 Sound Kits to record with my E-drums.
It’s almost the same but maybe better, since you have the Superior Drummer 3.0 Mixer at hand.
you can record a “soft” hit and a second “hard” hit and combine both as separate wav files into your controller.
