Export all Audio doesn’t follow the DAW for tempo changes

Your opinions regarding my answers are inconsequential, and this is not a popularity contest. You’re the one getting upset because someone disagrees with you. If you don’t like what someone is saying, that is more a you thing. However, let’s not fall under the idea that you can simply tell people not to post especially when you jumped in with a reply saying “you don’t buy it”.

Despite your own beliefs of how SD3 should “magically” extract tempo information from a DAW, it simply doesn’t. Plugins are sandboxed, meaning that they have are living in their own protected world inside a DAW. This is especially true in Apple’s case. In case you haven’t noticed, operating systems are clamping down on security because of different ways to attack a computer. That means more sandboxing. That’s a big change from 2017.

Plugins that communicate between instances is proprietary and doesn’t have anything to do with a DAW. However, they cannot control nor extract information outside their environment. They can only work with the information that they are being provided. This includes getting a tempo map. The only possible remote way is if SD3 were to record the tempo changes while the DAW was playing. This is really just another form of importing the tempo map. Even there, if a DAW. is using a tempo curve, rather than an abrupt change, it will be interpolated and will not match the changes exactly in the curve. Hence, it would be more optimal to use your DAW to export your drums.

There you have it. There are a couple of ways to already export drums.  If you don’t like the answer, then perhaps move along.

Yeh ok dude, look I’m not upset but I think maybe you are for some reason? You do this on every one of my threads on this forum and I think it’s just time to stop now.

There are plenty of other people available to answer my question if they wish. I don’t wanna be like this, but if you continue responding to my threads I’m just gonna hit up the mods.

You have your corner, I’ll have mine.

You don’t even know what you’re saying in this case. Why you even bother to respond in such a manner is beyond anybody’s guess.  Even more ludicrous is responding like this after four months.

Here’s the hard reality: you were given a proper and honest answer. The fact that you don’t like it is not my issue. However, don’t be disillusioned into believing that you have the power to suppress anyone because you don’t like their answers. Just because you are told something can’t be done, it’s not harassment. And let’s not make petty threats about going to the admins because you don’t like someone’s answer. I hate to tell you that they are always watching.

You’re on a forum and everyone is allowed to answer.
Agree to disagree,  but move on and don’t waste your time responding. Go make some music.

OK boys play nice. Now if you care to go look at the statistics of each one of everybody’s profiles, and how many times they have thanked and been thanked, I would think that one would agree that Jord has helped a hell of a lot more people than the creator of this particular thread.

You know, I can install a pressure switch on my toilet seat, but what happens when I stand up to pee. Oh wait a minute, they invented those infrared sensors that sense when you leave the urinal. BTW this is not your “owned and managed” blog.

Hey, I know they will invent a pair of hands that will come out and shake for you after you go. Pee

Now you have a great day

Why are you exporting audio out of SD3? In your DAW, set up two outputs, 1 for audio tracks, such as vocals, guitars, etc.. and one for drum audio. Set up a return track to record that audio. Play your recording and record the midi only. Make corrections to your midi timing etc. Now kill all your audio, either mute it or turn down the fader.  Record the audio that is returning from the drums only in your DAW.
Mute, the midi track, and now you have pure audio that can be mixed correctly. And to be even more correct reverse the input on your return so that you have front of house drum sound when you play your project.
You can reverse the sound outputs in SD to get front of house but I don’t even bother with that. I just do that in the DAW

If you are exporting your tracks as audio you may also need to copy the midi map into your midi track on your DAW. then set up your tempo settings in your DAW. I had the same problem that you had and this fixed it.
