Dear friends,
I was wondering; I connect my TD-30 via usb to my macbook pro usb-c 16gb RAM (TD-30 selected as audiointerface) to trigger SD3. Latency is doable, but not great, especially not within my DAW (its better in the standalone SD3).
Two questions:
Thanks for your help guys!!
I use a pc and connect my td30 via usb for midi only to the pc and my audio interface also to the pc. I saw your other question as well. The td30 is just about workable as an audio interface but I still got a little too much latency. I bought a zoom l-20 because I needed it for the inputs in my studio. I use 64 buffers which works great in stand alone and in Cubase.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Thanks Mark,
I agree, TD-30 is just about workable in standalone version, but good to hear that adding an audio interface is expected to improve latency
