Error when purchasing SDX using the Black Friday 20% Discount coupon

Hi There,

is anyone having an issue picking up an SDX using the 20% discount coupon code.

So I received a coupon code from Toontrack as a Black Friday special. I decided to pick up the Hitmaker SDX pack as its a real banger and with the discount even better. So I added it to my cart and used the coupon but on checkout I got an error and I quote,

“Input validation failed, error description in problems node! PaymentOrder.Amount: The Amount field must match the summed up value of Amount in Order Items (where Restriction to Instruments is not set).

Looks like this SDX has a restriction which did not allow me to purchase it at the discount but as per the Black Friday ad, this is part of the sale and not excluded. I tried different browsers and even emailed support but no response. Really bummed about this.

Any ideas?

Did a test and it worked for me. Did you do a copy/paste of the code or did you type it in manually? Try doing a copy/paste.

Have you tried purchasing using PayPal? 
 
You should be able to enter your VISA/MasterCard when purchasing with PayPal without creating an account if you don’t have one.

The payment method shouldn’t matter as this error message should popup before you get to the actual payment screen. You have to enter the code first before going to the payment screen. It could be something as simple as entering the code by hand or being in a country that doesn’t allow the code.

Thanks Jack, copy paste didn’t work. The coupon code would apply successfully but when I would go to pay using my CC, I’d get the error. I had to use PayPal which I was hoping to avoid as I get slugged with transaction costs and exchange rate costs from the bank.

Thanks for the suggestion Rixa, PayPal ended up working, however I got slugged transaction and exchange rate costs…not ideal. This is the first time using PayPal for a transaction on the Toontrack website, I’ve previously only ever used my card. Unsure why? I have bought other packs fine, infact I also purchased some EZX and EXK expansion packs over the same period and had no problems.

This time though it certainly had something to do with the discount code, the error message says so clearly, that the sum doesn’t match…that’s obviously a Toontrack issue.

Thank you for the update, and I’m glad to hear that PayPal ended up working for your transaction. I’m sorry to hear about the additional transaction and exchange rate costs, that’s definitely not ideal.
