I hope someone can help me.
I have bought a EZdrummer box. When I try to install it the message:
Error 1308.Source file not found
comes up. What do I have to do to get rid of this so I can install? Operation system on my PC is Windows7.
Hi,
you have an old DVD-print.
Please log in to your Toontrack account and download the Full Download Installer (≈700MB).
After you have run this, please apply the 1.2.1 update also available in your account.
Best Regards,
John

Hi. I already made a thread, but what the heck. I have the same problem (bought it, got same error) , and I am not able to download it from the web because of my incredible slow connection. Why are you making this so hard for me?

I’m sorry to hear about your slow internet connection but I’m not sure how your slow internet connection is somehow Toontrack’s fault. Is it possible to go to an internet cafe or a friends house with a USB thumb drive and download the full installer from your account?

Thats possible.. Sorry, it’s not your fault. I was just so exited to start making drums, and got pissed when it didn’t work. I was certain that if i bought it, it would work. I didn’t think it was necessary to buy a CD, then go download it on the internet. I’ll try to fix it tomorrow at a friends place. Sorry for being rude, and thanks for your help.
No problem. I can understand your frustration.
EZdrummer isn’t a new product. It was released in 2006 and there are some install discs for sale that were manufactured some time ago before the new OS (Windows 7 and the latest Mac OS) were released. The installers on these older EZdrummer discs may have issues installing on these new OS systems. That is why it is advised to installed the full installer from your account if you are using one of the newer OS and why there may be install issues with the EZdrummer discs.
BTW, I have a crappy satellite internet connection and have to travel to the ‘rents house in the next town over to download any large Toontrack/software updates.

Thats okay. I’ll be fine!
Slow internet sucks, but hey! there is always a solution.
EDIT: Since when was suc (space) k swearing?
Oh well. It’s installed, and now I have to authorize. How should I do that? I wrote down the computer ID (remember I do not have internet on mye studio PC), and typed it in the code in the “Computer ID” box (on a computer with internet connection).
The computer ID you provided is not valid. Please try again.
Can someone please come up with a solution as soon as possible? I’m starting to get unpatient.
I understand that an offline PC can’t be authorized via another computer.. But how should I do it then?
EDIT: How do I authorize an offline computer?
Patience young Jedi…
See if this video doesn’t explain the process:

Only problem is that my internet connection sucks. It will take me 2 hours to load that video. I’ll watch..
OK.
In a nut shell:
– On the computer that you have loaded EZD (the one that is ‘offline’) copy (write on a piece of paper exactly) the Computer ID from the Authorization pop up window.
– Go to a computer that has internet access (take the paper with you).
– Log into your Toontrack account or create one if you don’t have one at http://www.toontrack.com
– Click the ‘Register New Product’ button and follow the instructions. It will ask for the Computer ID (it’s on your piece of paper) and then you will get an Authorization code.
– Write this Authorization code on a piece of paper and take it back to your ‘offline’ computer where you have EZD installed and the Authorization pop up window is open and type in the Authorization code from your piece of paper.

Thats what I have done, and it does not work.
“The computer ID you provided is not valid. Please try again.”
Oh man! I wrote the ID down on the paper, and when I typed it into the box I wrote “2” instead of “Z”. Thanks for being patient with me, and not getting pissed off!
