There’s a fellow with an Elton John MIDI page that’s been around for several years, that he basically no longer maintains, but is still up. He has collected a bunch of Elton John MIDI, some of it good, some of it not so good.

I’ve taken some of the songs, basically the greatest hits, weeded out the bad ones, kept the better ones, and removed everything but the piano track. Some of them are position-quantized, some of them are not. All were played by a human it seems.
See attached file. Have fun.

That’s very generous of you Fizbin, sounds like a lot of work. Thanks, I’ve downloaded them!
I suppose if they were split up into intro, verse, chorus, bridge they might be more useful.

Perhaps, but IMO this is the kind of thing that will inspire people. If someone is thinking ” I wish my song had a Benny and the Jets feel”, it can.
Yeah, it will be more useful for those willing to do some editing, and just take from it what you need and add your own chords.
Love the feel on Honky Cat. With the piano laid bare it might become something quite different.
