Chokes aren’t mapped in EZD 3. Have you tried the Learn button? You could try setting your kit to do a Mute Hit instead of the choke.

When I try a choke in learn mode, it doesn’t register in ezdrummer, so unfortunately, that’s not the solution.
Also it seemed to work with a TD17 i rented for a project last year, so it definitely must be possible.

In the edrums explanatory video, Toontrack states that “Cymbal choking is supported by ezdrummer and superior drummer and should work by default by simply selecting the correct e-drum preset for your module.”
    So it should definitely work.

Hi-hat splashes also don’t work for me by the way, but since I rarely use those, that’s not much of a problem…

I did do a full reset of the efnote module to see if the issue had something to do with custom settings, but that didn’t do the trick…

When you open Logic Pro’s Event List, do you see what efNote is sending? Does it correspond to the mute hit on the cymbal(s) in question?

    Hi,

‘Choking’ would be executed via AfterTouch, so my first check would be ensuring that AfterTouch is being sent from the module and reaching EZdrummer 3. If you go to the E-drums/MIDI In in EZD3, there’s a MIDI Monitor in the lower left. Does it register AfterTouch when you pinch the cymbals?

    BR,
    John
