Edits lost in Action! EZX

Hi,

 

I’m using Action! EZX in Superior Drummer 3. If I make some edits to the tuning, then close the window, next time I open it the tuning settings revert to the preset.
I’ve tried creating a new song and I get the same behaviour. Some parameters work fine and the edits are remembered, but some don’t. Tuning always reverts to the preset value, as does the envelope (although not the offset). I’ve tried other libraries (Hit Factory, Superior 3, LA Percussion, Electronic EZX) and they all work fine, as expected. It’s only with Action! EZX that I have the problem.
Suggestions?

Hi Michael,

If you manage your presets in Finder (there’s a shortcut in the preset menu), is the files and/or folder for Action EZX! set to “Locked”, or are your permissions “Read only”?

Thanks for your mail.

I can’t see any folders or files set to locked – although in the information pane it looks like something is looking for more information  – It says “fetching” – but never actually changes.

I’m wondering if I have taken some files from their original location – I had a complete system crash a couple of months ago and had to replace the main hard drive. Restoring all the files took a while, and it’s possible that some files or folders were put in the wrong location. I had a problem with this about a year ago, I’d moved some files from a shared folder.

I notice that this problem doesn’t happen in Action with the default patch, nor with the Original Mix.
Attached is a screen shot of the information panes. The ‘Manage in Finder’ shortcut takes me to the user presets folder – I can’t actually see any of the factory presets listed.
Would it be worth re-installing the Action pack?

This is a bug. Thanks for finding it.

As a workaround remove the 8th macro knob, “Pitch Adjust”.
