I am having a very difficult time working with midi sections in song creator. Some examples: I see that people in training videos are able to select areas of the song and move them, save them, etc., but I can’t see any way to do this. If I try to select with the mouse, the single section moves. How does one link sections together to move them as a whole unit? Also, there is a tool symbol that always pops up–a bracket with an arrow, something like this: [<-, but it seems to do nothing. I’ve looked at the manual, but it seems to assume that we already know how to access and use these tools. Can anyone help? Is there a support page that goes over these tools and shows us how to use them? I figured out how to extend sections (you have to move the section to the right and then extend backwards in the timeline, which seems strange to me), but nothing else is clear to me. Thanks!
Do you use the latest version of EZdrummer 2? This will ensure that any old bugs are fixed etc. Go to the menu of EZdrummer 2 (in its top right corner) and select “Check for Updates…”
The tools are:
– Default Arrow Tool (the pointer): for selecting and moving clips – the tool that you use almost all the time.
– Split Song Block Tool (the scissors): for splitting blocks.
If you want to move many blocks at once you can either:
– Select all of the blocks and move them
or
– Select all of the blocks, right click on one of the selected blocks and select “Merge”. This will merge all the selected blocks into one block.
If you place your mouse cursor over the right or left edge of a MIDI block, the cursor will change to indicate how you can drag that block. If there’s a left pointing arrow, you can drag it to the left – and vice versa with right arrow.
