I am playing a Roland TD 30 kit and triggering SD3. Sometimes if I don’t have the snare zone settings perfect I will unintentionally trigger an edge articulation. Usually all the articulations are separate in the grid editor for each drum and cymbal but for some reason, after recording, most of my snare hits are in a column labeled “zone trigger”. Only the rim-shot and an occasional center articulation are in their own separate columns in the grid editor. Can anyone tell me why? It makes it far more difficult to locate and edit unintended articulations. Appreciate any help.
Your module is most likely sending CC6 information which is positional sensing data for your snare.

The ps on the td30 is it always that accurate. On the td30 click on trigger settings and then look at the page with ps on it. Hit the snare pad in different places and see where the line moves to. One of the things that made it work better for me was tightening the head. If you keep tightening you will see it doesn’t get any better and can then start to get worse. I recently got the td50x with the digital snare and ps is much better.
