Hello!
I using the method of dragging an EZD loop into Studio One Pro 4.5 (S-1-4) and edit with the piano roll. I then delete the loop in EZD. My problem is once I get the edit finished, set EZD in record, hit play in S-1-4 to record the edited loop back to EZD, but EZD doesn’t stop recording. It loops back and record over the newly recorded loop, if the the EZD loop is on. If loop isn’t on it records over the other remaining loops. In some cases it auto merges some of the loops. I’m wanting to be able to edit loops in the middle of a song and drop them right back in without a lot of extra steps. Which would be easy if one could have EZD stop recording at the end of the loop. Is this possible? The easiest way I have found is to record it at the end of the song by changing the start/stop/loop markers in both EZD and S-1-4 to a point at the end of the song and record it there. Then trim the extra off and copy/paste. Is there another way to insert the loop back into the song w/o these extra steps? If not where would I make a suggestion to ToonTracks to make EZD’s loop have a “punch in” option. I think Superior Drummer would solve this problem but I can’t afford the upgrade.
Thanks

Hi,
first of all, please update to the latest version of EZdrummer 2, 2.0.2 is a very old version.
Next, I would simply set the range in Studio One and NOT have loop on when you play back to record in sync back to EZdrummer 2.
This is how I do it myself in Pro Tools, i.e. the host plays a selected range and then stops.
BR,
John

Thanked by: FeeferHello John,
I was on my laptop when I checked my version. The PC in my studio was at 2.1.8. I says at the top of the PM window that all is up to date so I should be good? Also the recording worked great! Thanks a lot!
