Hello!
This is my first post. I’ve been using EZ Keys for about 2 years and I love it. Words cannot describe how much it has improved my music by adding another dimension to it. I’m wondering if I’ve been missing out on something though. I take notice that I cannot edit the MIDI in the builder. There seems to be no MIDI editor there and it would be great if there was one because I choose my chord progressions first before I articulate them and if the player who programmed that particular pattern wasn’t playing within that particular chord structure, some incorrect notes are present. I can edit them to my liking, but only after I move the MIDI block into my sequencer (Sonar). Is there actually a way to do this within EZK? It would just make it a bit more convenient for me in the creation process.
Thanks so much. Toontrack, you have wonderful products!

There is currently no MIDI editor in EZkeys. Dragging into your DAW is the only way to edit. You can then record your edits back into EZKeys is you want using the Record function in EZkeys.

Thanked by: David BurtonAny plans to add within-plugin MIDI editing capabilities into future updates (since it’s a feature in all your other products)? In EZ Keys in particular, it is currently a major limiting factor for me towards expanding my workflow and making it more efficient. This is because I cannot see the MIDI update in real time when I, for example change the inversion/octave of the chord, or simply want to manually adjust a pattern to a non-included voicing or chord alteration (e.g., fourth chord/So What, drop 2-4, altered dominants). I have to drag and drop back and forth ad infinitum…which is slooooow. LOVE the product overall though!

Thanked by: gearnerd and CMayjaHI too would like to see this in an update. Quite often there is only one note off in the pattern when you make changes to the chord. Usually it only needs to be raised or lowered by 1/2 step. I’ve been spoiled with the editor in EZBass. Any plans for an update now that you have it perfected in EZBass? Awesome program BTW.
I would also love that feature, which seems like a natural development of an otherwise very capable product.
In addition (or as an alternative) it would be great if articulations and sustain would be exported along with midi notes when you export the song as a midi file. Or have I missed something?
You put it in ezbass and it works great there, so how about showing ezkeys some love too… Thanks.
I too would like a midi chord editor. Ezkeys really is due an update it’s starting to lag behind. When such a wonderful tool could be so much better.
