I’ve recently started using EZdrummer to create drum tracks, mostly using Tap2Find to find my main groove and then making use of the song creator function. This has been great but I was hoping to add/remove certain hits from sections, for example I wanted an extra kick in a specific place and can’t find a way of doing this other than inputting and deleting in Tap2Find until I get it right. I’m sure there must be an easier way as there is only the option of removing all kicks if I get it wrong.
Is there a way of transferring the EZdrummer midi into the Logic X timeline (whilst still using the sounds from EZD), editing using the piano roll and then dropping it back into EZdrummer? I have tried dragging across into the DAW window, it shows up but there is no sound.
Thanks
You can drag the midi from EZ or SD 2 into logic.
If their is no sound there is something wrong.
You are dragging it onto the current/corresponding Midi Instrument track where the EZD2 is open ?
You can export midi and with a little effort it will show up in your user section of the EZD2 browser.
You can record MIDI from the Logic track onto the EZdrummer 2 Song Track for further editing in EZdrummer 2.

Thanks for the help.
I was able to drag from ED2 into Logic but was thinking that the drums would be playing from Logic as well as ED2 so just deleted all midi from ED2 and it works great. As far as putting it back into ED2, am I correct in saying that you have to export the midi from logic and then import it back into ED2?
Yes, export is one way to do it. Another way is, as John said, to record arm EZdrummer 2 (press the red record button, next to the play button) – when you play back the MIDI from Logic you’ll have the MIDI as a block in EZdrummer 2 again.
You don’t need to delete your MIDI files on the EZdrummer 2 track when playing MIDI from Logic. Just disable Follow Host by pressing that button, also near the play button.
