Hi,
I have noticed it seems on the newest update of DT that it doesn’t seem to render as accurately as it did before. I have used it alot it seems all of a sudden you can setup the threshold and it will find certain notes alot easier the others, even when the note are close in velocity, etc. I am using this on a bass track so there is very little bleed etc.
Any one else had this happen?
I have adjusted the sensitivity, etc and sometimes it just will not render a note. I can even show examples of this.

newest update of DT
Thanks
Jason

My feelings exactly. I feel like this tool is barely adequate. There’s a randomness and inconsistency in it’s performance that is very frustrating.
Just chiming in… DT is missing random hits here too… a series of pretty much identical snare shots, and DT will randomly ignore some… snare-only track (top head), all hits sharp and identical, clean audio recording, no weird flaming or overtones in the audio track either. And no amount of tweaking the threshold bars for the missing hits will cause DT to track them. And I’ve tried all extremes of filter settings.
Kinda frustrating. Hope it is soon resolved.

Any news on this? I have it skipping every other beat on a 2 different tom toms that I am trying to render to MIDI, and it will literally take me many hours to do it manually, adding the beats into the DAW 1 at a time. Is there an update to this software? Is ToonTrack still in business?
Hi rushfan,
Toontrack is very much in business but the Drumtracker application was discontinued 10 years ago:

There is a more sophisticated Tracker in the Superior Drummer 3 standalone and plug-in, since 2017.
