Hi all,
I have Sd3 running on a Mac Pro, triggered by a Roland TD30 (usb), output via usb to a Mackie DL16s. 1) are there any kits that are recorded for live use, with 6 outputs, where the kick, Tom, HH, snare, crash’s, and ride are each on a separate out out. The problem I have is that the ambient channels and room mics have the cymbals and HH and bringing them up, changes the other sounds as well. I basically want control of the individual instruments. Without affecting others dramatically.
2) any other solutions to using SD3 in a live mix setting, using around 6 channels?
There are no kits recorded expressly for live use. You’ll have to set your own channel setups in the SD3 mixer. For your second issue turn down or even off the bleed levels for the kit pieces you don’t want in the ambient and room channels.
