    Hi,

first of all – you’re not using EZdrummer 2 Standalone at the same time as you are running Studio One, right?
You are using the plugin inside Studio One?
Do you have any kind of event affecting effect or setting active on the track? Like a special kind of groove quantize?
When you are previewing grooves in EZdrummer 2, do you have the ‘Preview Original Tempo’ button active?

Which version number is displayed in the plugin window?
    Which OS are you on?
    Which version of Studio One?

I am using windows 8 64 bit i5 and studio one producer 2. I am opening from inside the daw (studio one). Preview original tempo is orange not grey so I think it is active. I really do not know how to use quantize so if the EZ drummer comes with it off I would think it is off and all other settings are like when I bought it. I hope this info helps. Thanks.

I just downloadied 2.02 update right now maybe this will help me. I was using 2.1.1 after download it still states i am using 2.1.1 so I am not sure why.

    OK,

2.1.1 is the latest version, so that is correct.
If ‘Preview Original Tempo’ is orange, it is active. Thus the tempo of the grooves will play back at the bp they were saved with when you preview them in the Browser or Search pages. Once you drop them to a track in Studio One, they will play back at the tempo set in Studio One, i.e. it can be a big difference between the two.

I had time tonight to spend 90 mins and same thing happening so I am going to see if an experienced musician in the area can figure it out for me unfortunately he does not use presonus studio one producer 2.

I think my tip would be for anybody thinking of buying a daw and something like ez drummer 2 buy only what someone you know has so they can train you on it unless you are extremely tech oriented. I am playing over 35 years now and cannot make sense of any this stuff I purchased. On top of it the letters and icons are so small on ez drummer 2 and Studio One even with my reading glasses on it is just too hard to see what to do.

I guess this comment/question is only partly related to this topic. How come when I tweak a user kit of my own in STANDALONE, the drums sound loud, robust and rich, and I save the user preset. Then when I later open EZD2 within my DAW and find and load my new custom kit, testing the drums, or playing a groove from the library, the drums sound a lot different, and not as amazing, as they did before?? Please and thank you Toontrack!Laugh

    Hi,

    which DAW are you using?
How are the EZdrummer 2 outputs routed in your DAW?
What may affect the signal path in the DAW?
If possible, you could ZIP an archive containing the Standalone Preset and your DAW song with the same preset loaded and attach to a post here.

Toontrack, the DAW I’m using is Mixcraft Pro Studio 7. Not sure I know how to do the ZIP tip. Also, I would like to add, that I use Multichannel so in my DAW I can adjust each drum like the mixer in EZD2, and I have the option to add FX to each of these, however, if I add FX to just the snare channel, it seems to effect the entire drum kit.

    Well then,

the answer lies in how things are set up and routed in Mixcraft and I can’t be of much help there, I’m afraid, since I have never used it.
Please make sure you have the latest version of the 64-bit version installed (currently 2.1.1) and confirm that in the plugin interface.
Also make sure Mixcraft is picking up the correct version of the plugin, i.e. not wrapping the 32-bit version.

I have all 64-bit software, and have already checked all. Say whatever you want, but standalone sounds wayyy better than when it’s open in the DAW.

I still have not met up with any users that can help me with EZ DRUMMER 2. I hope one day this program makes sense to me. Frustrated…..

did you read John’s response (post#5)?

If “Preview Original Tempo” is activated, this means that when you audition a selected
groove, it will play back in the tempo it was recorded at, not the tempo set in EZdrummer 2
    or in your host program.

also, for an overview of EZDrummer2, have you checked out the Operation Manual available from the Main Menu dropdown?
and have you checked out any of the awesome videos that Toontrack and others have made to illustrate various techniques and features?

It was the preview tempo button, cool that is figured out. I just tried to use the program and always give up within 10 mins I get so annoyed. Tonight, I looped something to jam to easy enough but than no matter what I did once I wanted to add addtl’ drum parts the program would just throw me to say bar 200 instead of bar one. I would try over and over again to go to bar one to listen but would keep going to bar 200 and I would not hear anything. I will read entire manual and work with a friend who has the program before I try and sell it. Thanks
