Drums play when soloing audio and holding down audio to audition

There something screwy and different about the way SD3 is playing its song/track window while using DP. in various ways.
If I solo an audio track in DP by mousing clicking on a waveform to listen to that waveform, Superior starts playing from bar one as if given a play command.. It also plays when I am soloing various tracks as if it isn’t listening to solo protect protocols between VE Pro and DP.
It didn’t do this stuff in SD 2 or EZ.
If I go to the DP soundbites window, click on a soundbite and let it play, superior is playing along in real time, doubling the drums that were in the original audio. Where is superior being triggered newly in SD3 where it wasn’t triggering like this before?
