I just noticed that the waveforms of the kicks in Drums of Destruction EZX have peak offset in all the presets. I don’t think this was intentional, why would you offset the kicks? It doesn’t look like dc offset, more likely it’s bad transient design. I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed with this EZX because of this.
Here’s what the kicks for every preset look like:
There are other metal EZX that don’t do this
Hi,
by looking at that screen shot, it looks as if the MIDI is double triggering, have you checked the MIDI notes? Is it possible for you to zip the Project with the EZX loaded and the MIDI included?

Hi,
I recorded this in Audacity using my interface’s loopback, I was just clicking in the kick drum in standalone EZdrummer, I clicked various times for each preset to get the diffrent hit variations, that’s why it looks like the midi was double triggered.
I find it strange that these kicks come with such peak offset. I tried other kicks from other EZX and they are more balanced. I know a little offset is natural and acceptable but this offset looks too big
OK,
is your problem that the waveforms do not look good or do you experience (as in hear) a problem when using the audio from the product in your songs?
The product in question is supposed to mimic having a recording with a drummer you can tell what to play, it’s not a drum machine with a synthetic sound.

Is not about the waveforms looking good or not, but if their peaks are offset like this they will clip much earlier when limiting the track, leaving wasted headroom. Yes, the software is supposed to mimic a drummer but the presets should also be mix ready. I’m really happy with other EZXs though.
