Drum Replacement

Im using EZ drummer 2 with Cubase and I want to replace my live recorded drums with some samples from ez drummer.

I have converted my bass drum audio file to midi note C1, when I play this midi track routed to ez drummer, instead of just playing the bass drum sample, it plays other drums and cymbals also even though all the midi notes are C1.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry. re-read your issue and removed my initial response.
I misinterpreted your post. My bad.

Do you have any grooves loaded in the EZD2 timeline that could playing while ‘following the host’?

also, check that no other MIDI track is sending to the EZdrummer 2 plugin
