Overall, delighted with Toontrack MIDI offerings.

That said, I seem to struggle to find drum grooves kinda sort like Bryan Devendorf of “The National.”

Yes, I could program them myself…

Just curious if anyone’s found anything amongst the Toontrack MIDI offerings that’s in the same ballpark.

I would suggest that you search for Tom in the browser. Just let the Show Webshop MIDI enabled and you should find what you are looking for.

Personally I bought the Alchemy of Pop expansion and there’s a good number of drum grooves. The drum sounds are removed from what I do, but at least a got the tom grooves. I also have two midi packs which have a good number of tom grooves: Metal Fusion and Progressive Patterns. Most tom grooves are under the Bridge song part and of course they are played heavier and faster. But clipping excerpts with well-played grooves here and there should do the trick in coming up with interesting parts after some tweaking.
