Hi,
I just started using EZ Drummer 2 and although it is awesome and although the loop/ recording mode is very fun, I have one very practical question for us who don’t want to waste time trying to drum with our fingers on our mouses:
Is there a piano roll and/or drum map that we could use on EZ drummer in order to create the drum beats or do we need to purchase a third party software (logic, FL, Protools…) in order to do so?
Thank you!
Hi,
no piano roll but you have the Edit Play Style which lets you edit grooves by adding or removing hits according to drummers’ playing algorithms.
So if you need the ability to custom build your grooves hit by hit, EZdrummer 2 will not do that on its own, then you need a DAW like the examples you mentioned. Alternatively, you can look into to EZdrummer 2’s bigger brother Superior Drummer 3 which has a Grid Editor as well as numerous other features EZdrummer 2 doesn’t have.

John
