Drum machines (linndrum, oberheim, sequential) in SD3?

Hi guys!

For some music styles it would be nice to have something similar to the REEL pack of addictive drums in SD3

is there a pack available or a workaround of some sort?

There are already lots of drum machine samples out there that you can import into SD3.

ok sample import is always possible ofcourse. but I understand there is no officially supported ‘pack’ or preset?

There a some EZXs with drum machine samples on them, if you feel the need to go that route. However, I couldn’t see myself spending that kind of money on drum machine samples.

Hi, the Number 1 Hits EZX has got some Linn samples in it, the Electronic EZX has got a lot of, well… electronic samples in it.
Don’t forget there is a lot of Electronic samples included in SD3.

Other than that, I’d start with checking free resources for sample packs and build your own Presets.

A quick search for ‘Oberheim drum machine samples’ returned 2 free top results, along with a few paid ones:
