Drum loop keeps skipping the downbeat?

Greetings, when I program a 2 bar loop, SD3 skips the downbeat the first time it loops, each consecutive time it plays the drums properly, is this a known issue or am I programming something incorrectly? The first time the loop is played, there is a kick and ride on the downbeat. The second time the drums go “mute” on the downbeat. Every time after that the loop plays normally. Thank you for any and all help!
