Drum Intro and Verse Grooves

I’ve been with Toontrack for a long time and have SD3 with several kits and midi grooves: EZkeys, EZBass, & EZmix. To me, Toontrack has great quality and is probably the best company for installing, upgrading, etc. etc.
The one thing I don’t like is the drum grooves don’t have enough simple and quiet starts for intros and verses.
I know you can adjust them, but for me, it’s very time-consuming trying to find a slow build-up groove for a singer-songwriter style, with basically acoustic guitar. Even the songwriter or ballad grooves get quite busy very fast.

Anyway, I love the product, but hoping the future kits/grooves address this.

Surely you’ve explored the various Songwriter MIDI groove packs
using the “Show Web Shop MIDI” search in SD3 found on the Grooves tab
(and under the last paragraph of Section 4.1 Grooves tab in the SD3 manual).

I have Music City, Custom & Vintage, Avatar, New York Studios, Evil Drums & Superior 3 Kits/
I New York vol 3 midi/Roots midi/Songwriters Drumpack midi/Ballads Midi/Monster Midi Pack/Eighties Pop Grooves/Acoustic Songwriter grooves/Americana Midi/Backbeats midi/
I have Nashville, Jazz, Latin Percussion, & Claustrophobic EZX Kits/

From all that, it still takes me a long time to find light grooves for intro and verses.

There usually is say 2-3 light or soft grooves and the rest is rock or heavy grooves (I’m only using 4/4).

For me it’s a lot easier to build on a groove, than editing a faster one.
