Hi there
In the EZX Rock! Extension there is this “drive” channel. What is it for?
I will not deliver mixdowns of the following channels to my sound engineer who does the mixing of the complete rock/pop song (guitars, vocals, bass, some piano, maybe strings just a regular song):
– Kick Comp (…it’s a compressed Version of channel “kick”…? He should know how to use compression on the channel “kick”)
– Snare Comp (…same reason as above…)
– Sub Comp (… isn’t this just an equalized Version of some other channels? i think so so i will not Export it he knows how to equalise sums/other channels)
– Drive ??? Should I deliver this for mixing the song?
Best wishes
IIRC, the Drive channel is an overdriven drum channel.
If it were me, I would send your engineer all of the tracks. It will allow him or her to choose the best tracks for the mix. Your paying them to mix right? Give them all of the choices. If he then chooses to mute those channels, he can make that mix decision. Just my opinion.
