I’m a beginner, and using garageband to make music. I search through SD3, find a beat I like, and would like to drag and drop it to my project. However, everytime I do that, the tempo changes.
I’ve attached two image files. The first image shows my project tempo at 86 in GarageBand, and 86 in SD3.
The actual beat tempo is 180, but it plays in SD3 in 86. However, as soon as I drag it into GarageBand, the tempo jumps to 120, and SD3 shows 120.
I can’t figure out why this is happening. Please help!
Edit – SD3 is being called in by the “Basic” track under the Plug-Ins section. So it’s opened up within GarageBand under that track within plugins, not standalone.
The tempo is changing because at one time you were presented with this dialog box and you checked “Don’t ask again” while selecting “Import Tempo”
Go to your Settings and select Reset Warnings and it will ask you once more if you want to import the tempo when dragging a groove to GarageBand.

Thanked by: Brad and rixaJord,
You are awesome. Thank you so much for including screenshots also!!! I saw your response in email and was unable to find “reset warnings” in SD3, but your screenshot on here shows that it’s in GarageBand. Everything works!!! Thank you so much!!!
