For whatever reason when I drag a groove from the Grid Editor straight into my DAW (Pro Tools) the Ride Bow gets played as a floor tom. If I find a library groove with the ride as the Power Hand then dragging and dropping seems to work fine. But if I edit the power hand of groove to be the ride, and even record my own groove, the ride gets played as a floor tom.
First, update EZD3 via Toontrack’s Product Manager.
If the problem still happens, let me know what Library/EXZ you’re using and I can take a peek myself if the Toontrackians don’t have a solid response in the meantime.

Thanks Shootie. I’m actually using the EZdrummer 2 Modern library and the Basic preset (my EZD3 purchase was an upgrade, but I hadn’t had EZD2 for long enough to learn how to use it properly). I did notice after I posted there was an update, so I’m on 3.0.2 now but unfortunately it’s still happening.
I just tried switching to the EZdrummer 3 Main Room library and same thing – ride turns into a floor tom. I tried one more test and changed the e-drum settings preset from my user preset to the Toontrack Standard preset, and this time recording & dragging the midi data worked. So it seems like maybe the midi data is getting reverted or something as I drag it from the plug-in instance into PT? At least I can somewhat work around this for now but hopefully I can figure this out before I start needing EZD for more serious usage.
Bear Face answered your question on the facebook group. For onlookers, we assume it’s because he has a custom midi map working.
