But dragging it back to DAW isn’t functioning right.

We need some more info here to try to help you out:

    • You drag the MIDI from EZbass Song Track or EZbass Grooves tab to your DAW – then what happens? Nothing shows up in your DAW?
    • What DAW are you using?

    I’m using Cubase 10.5 Pro.

I create an 8 bar bass line in Ez bass. I drag the 8 measures to the corresponding track in my DAW and it gives me 1 measure of something totally different. As if I copied a 1 measure intro bassline from the grrove list. If you need pictures I can provide it.

Hi, it sounds like something is preventing EZbass from creating the temporary MIDI file used during a drag event.

I would suggest the following troubleshooting:

    1. Make sure that the folder C:\ProgramData/Toontrack/EZbass is set to allow writes. (Let me know if you need help doing this)
    2. If that doesn’t work, try removing the folder “EZbass” in the same location, launch the EZbass stand alone application after doing so and the EZbass folder should be recreated with correct permissions.

    Hope that helps!

Is it not dropping onto your MIDI track or is it creating a new track at the bottom of the project window?

Check these 2 settings if its creating a new track:

File>Preferences. In the left pane click on MIDI File, then uncheck the boxes that say Auto Dissolve Format 0 and Import to Instrument Tracks.
