I can only fall into the same conclusion as most others.. SD3 is awesome and just love the most about it so far. But one thing is bothering me. Ive been trying to solve it myself but am a little lost whats causing this.
Dragging midifiles from the user folder inside SD3 to my drumtrack makes them disapear. They are gone from the Windows folder and dont come up in my drumtrack. Luckily i had backup so i could test again. If i frist drop the file into the tap to find square and from there drag it to the same drumtrack it works. There is no problem drag n drop from the SD3 midi folder. Is it a known bug or just not possible?
A workaround has been to add a own folder in the SD3 folder where the core midi is stored and add from there but i really dont wanna mess around with that since i have alot of 3rd part midis from 3rd part developers. Does anyone else experienced this?
Also as someone said in another post, it would be awesome if the midi file keept its name when dragged and dropped into the DAWs drum track. Even if suggested workaround on that is okej its still lacks a flexibility as to compare and work directly with the drums in the DAW.
I may stop here.. the rest i have to say is just AWESOME stuff but really would like to hear something from others and help to solve this issue with disapearing midi files..
Best

I totally agree with you Vaijj. It would be great to know what MIDI files have been used, as it was in Superior Drummer 2. Hopefully the developers can reuse some of the previous code base so it’s not such a tedious task to implement.

Agreed. Have we made any progress on holding on to filenames after dragging into the DAW in SD3?
